Police: Long Island triple shooting believed targeted attack
FARMINGVILLE, N.Y. (AP) — Detectives are investigating the shooting deaths of three people inside a Long Island house as a targeted attack, Suffolk County police said Saturday.
The bodies of a man and two women were discovered in the Farmingville home Friday, along with a baby who was unharmed.
The victims included an engaged couple, Richard Castano, 31, and Diamond Schick, 24, who lived at the home, and 20-year-old Nyasia Knox of Georgia, police and friends said.
Suffolk County authorities received a 911 call from a relative who had gone to the house to check on someone, Newsday reported.
It appeared a door at the residence had been kicked in and the doorjamb broken.
Police Saturday said the attack did not appear to be random. No arrests had been made.
