Teen arrested in Albuquerque triple shooting; 2 women killed
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder and other crimes in the shootings of three people, including two women who died in the Jan. 27 incident in Albuquerque, police said.
The teen is accused of going to an apartment complex and fatally shooting Aerial Mallam, 21, and Jessica Casaus Lucero, 31, and of shooting Stephen Mitchell, who survived his wounds, police said.
The teen was wounded in an exchange of gunfire with another person, who was not identified by police, as the youth tried to take a vehicle before running away, police said.
The Associated Press generally does not identify juvenile crime suspects.
An arrest warrant filed Thursday charged the teen with murder, armed robbery, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, child abuse and tampering with evidence.

This story has been corrected to reflect an updated police account that another person, not Stephen Mitchell, exchanged gunfire with the youth and shot him.
