St. Louis police investigate separate fatal shootings
ST. LOUIS (AP) — Police are investigating separate shooting deaths that happened hours apart in St. Louis over the weekend.
The shootings happened early Sunday morning, beginning with a shooting just before 3:30 a.m. in the city’s O’Fallon neighborhood, police said.
Homicide detectives were alerted to that shooting when the man who had been shot showed up at a hospital with gunshot wounds to his chest. He died a short time later.
Around 6 a.m., police were called to the Academy neighborhood and found a 41-year-old man shot in the abdomen. He died at the scene before paramedics could arrive, police said.
Police have not released the names of the victims or announced any arrests in either case.
