Port Arthur man indicted for brother’s shooting death
A Port Arthur man accused of fatally shooting his brother last month has been indicted by a Jefferson County grand jury.
Isaiah Jacobs, 28, was arrested and charged with murder on July 20, hours after police found his brother in a wrecked vehicle.
PAPD oficers were sent to the 1300 block of Joe Louis Avenue at 1:30 a.m. to investigate reports of a crash, according to information from the department at the time of the incident. Officers found one vehicle at the scene, with Ronnie Jacobs, 34, in it. Investigators did not know at the time that he had been shot.
Ronnie was taken to The Medical Center of Southeast Texas, where he later died.
