Shooting at sports complex in Upstate under investigation

UNION, S.C. (AP) — Authorities are investigating after a person was shot and wounded at a sports complex in the Upstate.

The shooting happened early Tuesday evening at the South Hills Sports Complex, WYFF-TV reported.

Deputies arrived to found a male with a gunshot wound, Union County sheriff’s Capt. Scott Coffer said.

The victim was taken by helicopter to a hospital for treatment.
