Senior guard Zach Jackson was named to the Preseason All-Summit First Team, the conference office announced today.

Preseason teams, as well as the league’s preseason poll, were tallied in a vote of the league’s head coaches, communications personnel and media. Jackson, a second-team All-Summit selection as a junior, averaged 17.6 points and 6.4 rebounds last season. He ranked fifth in the league for scoring and tallied in double figures in all but three games with twelve 20-point performances and four double-doubles. South Dakota State was picked as the favorite to win the Summit League and the Mavericks were eighth. Head coach Derrin Hansen enters his 14th season at the helm of the Nebraska-Omaha program and carries a career record of 206-188. The Mavericks return six letter winners from last year’s squad. They open the 2018-19 season on Nov. 6 at Minnesota.
