Ex-Huskers in the NFL: Brandon Reilly has big catch; Tanner Lee struggles in debut
NFL preseason kicked into gear Thursday night, and several ex-Huskers saw the field.
Buffalo wide receiver Brandon Reilly was targeted three times, catching one for 59 yards, in the Panthers’ 28-23 win against the Bills on Thursday night.
Jacksonville quarterback Tanner Lee had a forgettable game in the Jaguars’ 24-20 loss to the Saints. Lee dropped back 13 times and was sacked five times. He fumbled twice and finished 4-of-8 for 37 yards.
Niles Paul, who plays for Jacksonville, caught two passes for 16 yards.
Nate Gerry, listed as a starter at linebacker for the Eagles, had four tackles in Philadelphia’s 31-14 loss to Pittsburgh.
Tennessee linebacker Will Compton had four tackles in the Titans’ 31-17 loss to Green Bay.
Lavonte David had a tackle in limited action in Tampa Bay’s 26-24 win against Miami.
Avery Moss, who played for Nebraska and later Youngstown State, had two tackles in the Giants’ 20-10 loss to Cleveland.
Ravens punter Sam Koch punted once for 58 yards in Baltimore’s 33-7 win against St. Louis.
New England defensive tackle Vincent Valentine had a tackle in the Patriots’ 26-17 win against Washington.
