$1M Powerball ticket sold in Fairfield County

A winning Powerball ticket sold in Wilton is worth $1 million.

The ticket sold at Georgetown Shell at 912 Danbury Road matched five numbers in Wednesday’s drawing.

The numbers from that drawing were 5-14-31-40-50 and the Powerball was 6.

CT Lottery said the lucky person who holds that ticket has not yet claimed the prize. They have until Oct. 29 to claim the prize.

People who have winning lottery tickets have 180 days to claim their prizes. After that, the state gets to keep the money.

There are several winning tickts sold in Fairfield County that have not yet been claimed.

Among the tickets:

A $25,000 a year for life tick sold at Brazil Legal LLC at 414 West Main St. in Stamford from the Feb. 18 drawing. It expires on Aug. 18.

A $100,000 Cash 5 ticket sold at Merritt Country Store, 337 Main St. in Westport from the March 30 drawing. It expires on Sept. 26.

A $100,000 Cash 5 ticket sold at Winners Norwalk, 24 Burnell Blvd. in Norwalk from the April 20 drawing. It expires on Oct. 17.

A $100,000 Cash 5 ticket sold at High Ridge Convenience Service, 910 High Ridge Road in Stamford for the April 27 drawing. It expires on Oct. 24.
