Coupa Software: Fiscal Q4 Earnings Snapshot

SAN MATEO, Calif. (AP) _ Coupa Software Incorporated (COUP) on Monday reported a loss of $96 million in its fiscal fourth quarter.

On a per-share basis, the San Mateo, California-based company said it had a loss of $1.29. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense and amortization costs, were 19 cents per share.

The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of nine analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 5 cents per share.

The company posted revenue of $193.3 million in the period, which also beat Street forecasts. Eight analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $185.6 million.

For the year, the company reported that its loss widened to $379 million, or $5.13 per share. Revenue was reported as $725.3 million.

For the current quarter ending in May, Coupa Software expects its per-share earnings to range from 3 cents to 6 cents.


The company said it expects revenue in the range of $189 million to $191 million for the fiscal first quarter.

Coupa Software expects full-year earnings in the range of 15 cents to 19 cents per share, with revenue ranging from $836 million to $840 million.
