Man killed near Temple U’s Health Sciences campus

A man was shot and killed near Temple University’s Health Sciences campus in the Franklinville section of North Philadelphia early Sunday morning, according to police.

Officers found the 40-year-old victim, who is listed as a John Doe, with a single gunshot wound to the head inside a car on the 3400 block of Old York Road around 5:44 a.m.
