FMHS, Central run at Keokuk Relays
KEOKUK — Fort Madison High School and Central Lee competed in the Keokuk Relays boys track meet Thursday at Calvert Stadium.
Fort Madison finished second behind Rushville-Industry 151-105. Warsaw beat Central for third, 84-74, in the seven-team meet.
Aaron Seffensmeier won the 800-meter run in 2:16.86.
Matt Hellige finished second in the 3,200 in 11:01.18, with Dayne Cordray third (11:33.71).
Caleb Gehle finished the 100 in :36.37, the 200 in 1:21.59 and the shot put with a toss of 16-3.
Fort Madison’s 4x200 team of Jared Kester, Joseph Grabowski, Cordray and Matt Meierotto took second in 1:51.16. The 4x00 team of Quentin Schneider, Kester, Steffensmeier and Zander Schweiss was second in 4:01.23.
Zach Schulte and Chase Tennant finished 1-2 in the 400 dash for Central in :54.40 and :55.59, respectively. They also ran in the winning sprint medley relay with Adam Rooney and Tyler Hopp in 1:43.37.
Hopp finished second in the 200 in :24.04. Central’s 4x100-meter relay team of Tennant, Austin Gaylord, Hopp and Rooney took second in :46.60.

Fourths — FMHS’ sprint medley relay (Alex Gully, Logan Rashid, Redd-Donald, Quentin Schneider), 1:47.06; FMHS’ distance medley of Rashid, Cordray, Grabowski, Hellige), 4:26.32; Central’s 4x400 (Dalton Westercamp, T.J. Stutes, Vineyard, Adam Boeck), 4:31.69; Hopp, Central, long jump, 18-2 1/2.
