The Utah House of Representatives’ video makes it to Stephen Colbert
In March, perhaps one of the worst videos of the year was created by members of Utah’s House of Representatives, and Stephen Colbert took notice.
The video, which explains how a bill becomes a law through the tune of the theme from the “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” was featured on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”
“It is way worse than I have the power to describe,” Colbert said during the show.
After playing the video, cameras catch the band’s reactions to the video, showing shock and disbelief.
“Utah’s House of Representatives wanted to show how a bill becomes a law. Instead, they showed how an innocent attempt at musical humor becomes a catastrophe of historic proportions,” the show wrote with the video on YouTube.
