The station filed the paperwork in 2015 to request a street name for Mercury, who had recorded five albums in Munich. “Freddie Mercury Street” will be near the Olympic Hall, where Queen performed many times. The radio station also filed documents in 2015 asking for “Johnny Cash Road” in the town of Landsberg am Lech, outside Munich. Cash was stationed there in the 1950s with the U.S. Air Force.
