Warmer temperatures coming to Siouxland
SIOUX CITY | Temperatures will finally take a turn to the mild side at the end of the week, after a few days of chilly temperatures and sub-zero wind chills.
Wednesday’s high temperature, according to the Sioux Falls National Weather Service, should be 31 degrees, with sunny skies. Clear skies remain tonight, with a low temperature of 14 degrees.
The sunny weather will continue on Thursday, and the high temperature is expected to be around 42 degrees. Thursday night, the low temperature will be 22 degrees -- a warmer temperature than the daytime high of recent days.
On Friday, the high will be around 53 degrees, with a low Friday night around 25 degrees.
Matt Dux, a meterologist with the Sioux Falls National Weather Service, said the rest of the week should be free of snow and rain.
“Nothing coming here through the next four or five days,” Dux said.
However, snow is likely on Saturday night into Sunday morning, but Dux said it’s still too early to estimate how much or what it will look like.
“Some sort of rain or snow will fall the second half of this weekend,” he said.
