Scene And Heard: A Night Of Comedy
As we finally cross over into March, fun events are beginning to pop up. It seems that the dead of winter is nearly ending, but I’m sure a few miserably cold days will hit us before we’re granted summer’s sunshine.
If you’re looking for something new to do this weekend, head over to the Little Theatre of WIlkes-Barre for a night of comedy.
Bear Creek native Mike Corcoran brings his “Let Me Finish” comedy tour to the North End theater Saturday, March 3.
Well-known on the Philadelphia and South Jersey comedy circuit, “Cork” will make his third appearance at the Little Theatre. His routine features adults-only stories ranging from aging in a creepy fashion to the joys of Quik Mart shopping at 4 a.m.
Local comic Zach Hammond starts off the night. Hammond shares his brand of intelligent, dark humor up and down the East Coast and in the Midwest. He won first place in the inaugural NEPA Scenes’ Got Talent, and was part of the Devil Cup comedy competition on Long Island. The third and final performer of the evening is Shivaun O’Donnell, known as the female student in the YouTube video, “Heynabonics”. She is a founding member of the comedy troupe One Laugh at Least, and is a registered nurse and certified diabetes counselor.
Walter Mitchell said he will be the emcee for the night, and promises a few belly ticklers of his own. The lobby and bar open at 7 p.m., and the laughter starts at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $10.
