Barbara A. Monyelle, 73, Sullivan
SULLIVAN — Barbara A. Monyelle, 73, of Sullivan, passed away Jan. 27, 2017, at Angels Grace Hospice Center in Oconomowoc.
She was born on Nov. 14, 1943, in Sullivan, to Adolph and Ann (Dzievit) Witt.
She married Willis “Bill” Monyelle on March 30, 1991; he preceded her in death on Feb. 8, 2002.
Barbara had worked at Stoppenbach for several years. Barb worked for many years in the family business at Witts bar and grill Sullivan, which was owned and operated by her parents and her brother. She and Bill also owned and operated the Wildwood Resort in Eagle River until he passed away.
She enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. She loved to paint and enjoyed many craft projects.
Barbara will be deeply missed by her family: daughter, Julie Koeppel of Helenville; son, Greg (Pam) Koeppel of Helenville; stepchildren, DeEtte (Chris) Banks of Indiana, Marjorie (Terry) Olson of Two Rivers and Daniel Monyelle of Wisconsin; grandchildren, Kristine (Zack) Becker, Sarah Koeppel, Tristan Haines and Jessica Haines; stepgrandchildren, Craig (Brie) Sorbo, Matthew (Justina) Banks and Randy Banks; sisters, Mildred “Bobbie” Ingersoll of Sullivan and Leonard “Butch” (Janice) Witt of Whitewater.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon on Wednesday, Feb. 1, at St. Mary Help of Christian Catholic Church in Sullivan with the Rev. Thomas Coyle and the Rev. Mariadas Bekala officiating.
Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until time of mass.
Those wishing to give a donation in Barbara’s name may direct it to St. Mary Help of Christian Catholic Church, Angels Grace Hospice or Vince Lombardi Cancer Center in Summit.
