Beverly Dietenberger, 75, North Freedom
Beverly “Bev” Ann Dietenberger, 75, of North Freedom, passed away Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018, while she was wintering at her residence in Arizona.
Bev was born March 3, 1942, in Gloversville, New York, the daughter of Roger and Ann (Bendrick) Prahl. She was a graduate of Baraboo High School and received a bachelor degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. On Aug. 8, 1964, she was united in marriage to Joseph Dietenberger at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Baraboo.
Bev and Joe then moved to Green Bay and raised their family. Bev worked as a homemaker and also put her creative skills to work in visual merchandising at local retailers. She enjoyed travel, sewing, training and riding horses, spending time with family and friends and her dogs.
After retiring, Bev and Joe moved to North Freedom where she pursued her hobbies as well as working at a local flower shop. She especially enjoyed spending time with her six grandchildren and was an active part of their lives.
Bev is survived by her three children, Susan Teska of Baraboo, Ronald (Lisa) Dietenberger of Germantown, and Jerrad (Anna) Dietenberger of Rochester, Minnesota; six grandchildren, Lizzie, Claire, Katherine, Alissa, Edward and Andrew; one sister, Sandy (Russ) Feltz; one brother, Don (Diana) Prahl; and several nieces, nephews; other relatives, and friends.
Bev was preceded in death by her husband; and her parents.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2018, at the Rago-Baldwin Funeral Home, Baraboo, with Fr. Jared Holzhuter officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place in Rock Hill Cemetery, Baraboo Township, immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Sauk County Humane Society.
