MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) _ Janko Tipsarevic and Jelena Jankovic won the boys’ and girls’ Australian Open titles Sunday, the first time Yugoslavians swept both junior championships.

Tipsarevic’s 3-6, 7-5, 6-0 win over Wang Yeu-tzuoo, a Davis Cup player for Taiwan, broke a 79-year drought for Yugoslavs in the boys’ event.

Jankovic’s 6-2, 6-1 win over Sweden’s Sofia Arvidsson in the girls’ final was the first for Yugoslavia in the 71-year history of the event at the Australian Open.

Tipsarevic, the No. 1 seed who dyed his hair blue and yellow for the final, extended his winning streak to 30 matches with his first Grand Slam title.

``This is my biggest success in tennis,″ Tipsarevic said. ``I have won the last four tournaments and I wanted to finish it by winning a Grand Slam.″

Jankovic, also the No. 1 seed, needed only 54 minutes to beat Arvidsson.
