Macedonia offering to sell naming rights to city recreation facilities

MACEDONIA, Ohio — The Macedonia Recreation Department is offering to sell naming rights to city facilities such as the family recreation center, baseball complex and rec center pool.

The corporate sponsorship program allows companies to highlight their names and logos and offers a range of sponsorship levels.

The city is asking for a 10-year, $50,000-a-year commitment for naming rights at the family recreation center, a 10-year, $30,000-a-year commitment for naming rights to the baseball complex and a five-year, $20,000-a-year agreement for naming rights to the rec center pool.

Organizations that participate in the corporate sponsorship program will be included in year-round promotions and marketing materials. Participating businesses also have full use of the facility they sponsor for company events.

“Our intent is to develop a program which will ultimately allow us to enhance the experience for the tens of thousands of residents and families that utilize our recreation facilities year-round,” Angela Manley, the city’s recreation director, said in a news release.

The sponsorship program has been in development for several years.

Look Strategies,  a Cleveland marketing and sales management firm, partnered with the city to implement the program.

“While we’re very excited to be able to help foster these valuable business partnerships, our goal, first and foremost, is to maintain the beauty and integrity of the many recreation assets throughout the city,” Look Strategies CEO Steve Corcoran said in the news release.
