OUS Love Your Body health fair on Feb. 14
IRONTON — Since 2011, the Love Your Body health fair and educational event has been hosted each February at the Ohio University Southern Campus to encourage participants to consider their self-care and well-being. Open to the public, this year’s event will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, in the Mains Rotunda of the Riffe building, according to a news release.
“Love Your Body provides a fun and informative way for our students to stop and consider the importance of their health — physical, emotional and mental well-being and the well-being of their spirit,” Mary Ann Wymer, coordinator of nontraditional student recruitment and services said in a news release.
Participating organizations include the American Cancer Society, Big Brothers, Big Sisters of the Tri-State, Cabell Huntington Hospital, CAO Medical Clinics, Collins Career Center Cosmetology Program, Community Hospice, CONTACT Rape Crisis Center, Lawrence County Domestic Violence Task Force, Lawrence County Health Department, Mahajan Therapeutics, Mended Reeds, NECCO, Ohio Means Jobs, Workforce Development Resource Center, Ohio Organ Donation, Ohio University Southern Accessibility Services, Ohio University Southern Financial Aid Office, Ohio University Southern Nursing Department, Ohio University Southern Veterans Services, OSU Extension Services — Eating Smart, Being Active, Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital Dietician, Pathways Victim’s Services, Planet Fitness, Reiki, Loretta Buckley — Japanese technique for Stress Reduction and Relaxation promoting healing ELEC, St. Mary’s Hospital “Total Woman” Program, Shawnee Mental Health, Tri-State Rehab & Fitness and YMCA of Ashland.
