Some Thanksgiving games rescheduled due to cold weather
MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) — Some Thanksgiving football games have been rescheduled or canceled in New Hampshire as temperatures are expected to get down to the single digits, with below-zero wind chills for the holiday.
In Manchester, WMUR-TV reports the annual Turkey Bowl between Central and West high schools, was rescheduled for Wednesday night. It’s the first time the Turkey Bowl has been rescheduled since the 1980s.
In Keene, the Thanksgiving Day high school football game between Keene High School and Monadnock Regional High School was canceled.
A number of runs were still planned for the holiday.
The National Weather Service in Gray, Maine, said “it will seem balmy today just prior to the passage of the Arctic front” on Wednesday night.
