Nurse sentenced to jail for sexually assaulting girl
BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) — A former nurse has been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to sexually assaulting a girl.
The Billings Gazette reports (http://bit.ly/28PYEFO ) that 47-year-old Todd Kinzel was sentenced Tuesday to five years in prison followed by a 15-year suspended sentence. He was ordered to register as a sex offender and complete sex offender treatment.
Kinzel pleaded guilty in March and admitted to inappropriately touching a 13-year-old girl during what he told her was a “comprehensive exam.”
He admitted to another sexual assault, but it was outside the statute of limitations for the crime.
South Central Treatment Associates Director Michael Sullivan examined Kinzel and testified that Kinzel has a low risk of re-offending.
Kinzel was employed by Billings Clinic at the time of the assaults but not directly involved in patient care.
