MORAGA, Calif. (AP) _ Eddie Love ran for a career-high 102 yards on 19 carries to lead St. Mary’s to a 49-6 victory over Humboldt State on Saturday.

Sean Laird completed 11-of-16 passes for 145 yards and three touchdowns for the Gaels (7-3), who won their 15th consecutive home game.

Humboldt State (3-7) used third-string quarterback Matt Burgess because of injuries. He completed 6-of 16 passes for 35 yards and two interceptions.

Laird hit Shane Sullivan with a 13-yard touchdown pass and threw a 12-yard scoring strike to Blake Tuffli before backup Steve Sangiacomo’s 25-yard TD pass to Mickey Clements gave St. Mary’s a 21-0 halftime lead.

Laird also hit Peter Sousa with a 13-yard TD pass in the third quarter.

Love, who missed most of the season with a hamstring injury, scored twice from 3 yards out.

Tuffli became the Gaels’ career reception leader, catching seven passes for 81 yards and one touchdown. Tuffli finished his St. Mary’s career with 194 receptions, breaking the record of 193 set by Jon Braff in 1988.
