Highs hitting 20s (finally), evening light snow possible Wednesday in Cleveland: Weather forecast

CLEVELAND, Ohio – While the morning will feel similar to the past week of frigid morning commutes with negative wind chills, temperatures could reach over 20 degrees today in Cleveland -- the first time since Christmas Day.

Actual temperatures will climb from the single digits in the morning, skim 20 degrees in the late afternoon and fall again to the teens for the evening. With breezy winds at times, however, the air will feel closer to the negatives in the morning and evening, and still in the single digits for the afternoon.

The day may begin with some sun, but clouds will quickly move in and with an arctic cold front passing, light snow could pop up in the evening and overnight. Less than an inch should stick by Thursday morning, so there’s no worries about any dangerously slippery roads for the morning commute near Cleveland. Over in the lake-effect belt surrounding Geauga and Ashtabula counties, 1 to 3 inches could fall by Thursday morning.
