Suspect Spotted on Wheel of Fortune
PAOLA, Kan. (AP) _ A man accused of molesting two girls was caught after one of them saw him on the television game show ``Wheel of Fortune.″
Matthew Fenwick, 31, pleaded guilty Tuesday in Miami County District Court to two counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child.
A warrant was issued for Fenwick’s arrest in November, but authorities hadn’t been able to locate him until one of the two girls he was accused of molesting saw him on the television game show March 18.
The girl’s mother contacted authorities, and Fenwick was arrested a few days later at his house in Olathe.
Fenwick has been jailed on $50,000 bond since his arrest.
His sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 9, and Miami County Attorney David Miller said prosecutors planned to recommend a six-year prison sentence.
Fenwick won $4,400 on the game show.
