The Broomfield Council on the Arts & Humanities needs volunteers to make its Summer Sundays a big success.
The council’s annual meeting is at 7 p.m. today, May 17, at the Brunner Farmhouse, 640 Main St., and all are welcome to learn about the council and volunteer opportunities.
The Summer Sundays are a three-event, family-friendly series that takes place June 10, July 8 and Aug. 12. Each event begins with carnival games, prizes, arts and crafts, storytelling, and more that run from 4 to 6 p.m. on the Brunner Farmhouse grounds. Then from 6 to 8 p.m., there is a concert performed from the back porch of the Farmhouse. The June 10 music guest is Journey Girls, a Journey tribute band from Denver.
The July 8 guest is Still We Rise, classically trained musicians turned acoustic singer-songwriters.
The Aug. 12 guest is Metropolitan Jazz Orchestra, one of the premier jazz orchestras of the Rocky Mountain region.
