Pilgrim’s Pride: 4Q Earnings Snapshot
GREELEY, Colo. (AP) _ Pilgrim’s Pride Corp. (PPC) on Wednesday reported a fourth-quarter loss of $7.3 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Greeley, Colorado-based company said it had a loss of 3 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs and costs related to mergers and acquisitions, came to 9 cents per share.
The poultry producer posted revenue of $2.66 billion in the period.
For the year, the company reported profit of $247.9 million, or $1 per share. Revenue was reported as $10.94 billion.
Pilgrim’s Pride shares have risen 32 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $20.43, a drop of 19 percent in the last 12 months.
