NEW YORK (AP) _ Stocks that were moving substantially or trading heavily Monday on the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq Stock Market.


UAL Corp., down $1.40 at $3.80

The airline sector, including UAL’s United Airlines, pulled back following US Airways Group’s decision Sunday to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. US Airways, which did not trade Monday, said it will continue operating flight normally and it hopes to emerge from bankruptcy early next year.

Calpine Corp., up 5 cents at $3.80

The company certified its 2002 Securities and Exchange Commission filings. The energy company said the documents include Form 10-K for 2001, the 2002 proxy statement and all subsequent SEC periodic and current reports filed through Aug. 9, the date of certification.

Dynegy Inc., down 19 cents at $1.57

The energy company will not pay a dividend on its Class A or Class B common stock for the third quarter ending Sept. 30. The company said subsequent dividends will be at its board discretion but it doesn’t expect to reinstate them soon.


Buca Inc., down $1.11 at $6.77

The restaurant chain reduced its third-quarter forecast citing soft sales.

Republic Bancorp Inc., down 68 cents at $13.57

A.G. Edwards reduced its rating on the stock from strong buy to hold, saying the company is trading at or near fair value.

Amylin Pharmaceuticals Inc., down 14 cents at $12.86

The drug company reported lower-than-expected second-quarter earnings.
