STERLING – The cause of a fire late Friday afternoon at an empty farm house in rural Sterling is under investigation.

It started in a wall of the two-story home at 17660 Habben Road around 5 p.m., Milledgeville Fire Protection District Capt. Dale Beachy said Saturday.

No one was injured, and the fire was out in about 25 minutes, Beachy said.

The home, which is owned by Kenneth W. Reins of Chadwick, is salvageable.
