April 7, 2018

Firefighters are currently battling a raging blaze at 600 W. Third St. in Beaver Dam. A 17-unit apartment complex was fully engulfed when first responders arrived on the scene. The fire was reported shortly before 6 a.m.

The Red Cross is at The Watermark, 209 S. Center St., at this time and displaced residents are urged to seek shelter there.

Officials said water supply is an issue and they are having to lay lines a long ways away. They are having to go to Tahoe Park to haul water.

Several residents had to be taken out of windows and down ladders. Not all residents have been accounted for yet.
