At least one taken into ambulance after Lakewood crash that damaged utility pole

LAKEWOOD, Ohio -- At least one person was taken into an ambulance Thursday after a car crash that damaged a utility pole in Lakewood.

The crash happened just after 5:30 p.m. on Madison Avenue at Marlowe Avenue, a police dispatcher said.

The dispatcher could not say if anyone had been hurt in the crash, but a cleveland.com report saw at least one person taken into an ambulance.

At least two cars were involved in the crash, including an SUV that rolled over onto its side. A nearby telephone pole was struck and snapped.
