Commission sets spring workshops for turkey hunting

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission has scheduled several workshops to help spring turkey hunters.

The events are designed for people with limited experience and will cover strategies, equipment and other topics.

The first workshop is set for March 2 at the YMCA in Holdrege. Then March 26 at the Game and Parks education center in Lincoln, March 28 at Platte River State Park near Louisville and March 28 at the Lincoln Park Fire Station in Hastings.

A turkey calling clinic will be held April 19 at the education center in Lincoln.
