Mayoral candidate Tommy Schrader arrested

Tommy Schrader, a candidate for Fort Wayne mayor in the Democratic primary, was arrested tonight on a misdemeanor criminal mischief charge.

As Schrader, 56, was booked into the Allen County Jail, later to be released on his own recognizance, he won 216 votes in the primary. He came in third place after Mayor Tom Henry with 6,797 votes and second place winner, Gina Burgess, who garnered 875 votes.

The details of Schrader’s arrest have not yet been released by police.
