Business community will honor Sculley with reception next month
The business community will honor outgoing City Manager Sheryl Sculley with a reception at the Tobin Center next month.
The event will include food, cocktails and a speaking program, according to the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, which is helping to organize the event with other area chambers. It will take place March 26 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Tobin Center’s H-E-B Hall. It is free to the public but those who wish to attend must register.
The chamber said in a press release that it would pay tribute to Sculley’s “13 years of exceptional leadership, passion, and dedication to making San Antonio an even better place to live and work.”
Sculley, whose last day is Feb. 28, is asking those who attend to donate to the Young Women’s Leadership Academy in lieu of any gifts. She said she would personally match all donations up to a total of $10,000.
