n City of Pocatello Hearing Examiner will be today at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers.

n The Bannock Country Republican Party will host a summer fundraiser today at 5:30 p.m. at the Outback Driving Range. This is an opportunity to meet Bannock County elected officials, city candidates and state Republican candidates.

n The sixth Bannock Democrats annual summer picnic fundraiser today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the lower Ross Park pavilion co-hosted by the Bannock County Democrats and the Idaho Democratic Women’s Caucus Region 6.

n Ronald Garcia, assistant dean for minority affairs at the Stanford University School of Medicine, will travel to Idaho State University to speak to Spanish for the Health Professions students and minority students today from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the Pond Student Union North Fork Room.

n Mystic Squares Square Dance Club and Semi Circle Round Dance Club will host new classes today from 4 p.m. to 5:15 p.m., mainstream plus class from 5:15 to 6:30 p.m., round class from 6:30 to 7 p.m. at South Pocatello Square Dance Hall, 1935 S. n Jim Jones, former chief justice of the Idaho Supreme Court, will be the guest speaker at this week’s Pocatello Rotary Club meeting. The luncheon meeting will be held at noon today at the Pocatello Clarion Inn, 1399 Bench Road.

n Hands4Uganda presents an evening with the Wasswas on Friday at 6 p.m. at Grace Lutheran School gym, 1350 Baldy Ave. in Pocatello. Join them for a fundraising dinner featuring authentic Ugandan cuisine, handcrafted items and a chance to learn about the amazing work happening at Rock of Ages School in Uganda.
