Lawrence County grand jury indicts more than 40

IRONTON — A Lawrence County grand jury has returned more than 40 indictments, most of them in drug cases, according to court records.

Christopher G. Akers, 49, of Private Drive 4460, Pedro, was indicted on charges of the aggravated robbery of a friend at gunpoint, having weapons while under disability, receiving stolen property and carrying concealed weapons.

Brittney R. McComis, also known as Brittney R. Jones, 35, of Twin Ridge Court, Ashland, was indicted on two counts of improperly discharging firearms at or into a habitation and theft of a firearm.

Justin M. Wells, 29, of Township Road 1021, South Point, was indicted on charges of aggravated trafficking in drugs (heroin) and possession of heroin.

Derrick D. Braxton, 37, of Private Drive 15, South Point, was indicted on charges of trafficking in cocaine and possession of cocaine.

Johnny E. Keaton Jr., 26, of Township Road 332, Ironton, was indicted on a charge of burglary.

Urian M. Benicker, 34, of the 700 block of Vernon Street, Ironton, was indicted on a charge of complicity to aggravated trafficking in drugs.

Michelle N. Boothe, 38, of the 1400 block of South 6th Street, Ironton, was indicted on charges of the illegal cultivation of marijuana and endangering children.

George M. Massie, 35, of County Road 182, Kitts Hill, Ironton, was indicted on charges of having weapons while under disability and domestic violence.

Carl E. Thompson, 41, of the 400 block of 29th Street, Ashland, was indicted on charges of illegal conveyance of prohibited items onto the grounds of a detention facility, possession of cocaine, possession of heroin and obstruction of official business.

Brian D. Benicker, 37, no address listed, was charged with three counts of intimidation.

Christina D. Anderson, 39, of Ohio 243, Coal Grove, was indicted on charges of tampering with evidence, possession of drugs (meth), two counts of trafficking in drugs (meth) and one count of aggravated trafficking in drugs (meth).

Floyd A. Franklin, 57, no address listed, was indicted on charges of tampering with evidence and vandalism.

Tara R. Roar, 37, of Ridge Court, Wayne, was indicted on aggravated possession of drugs (meth).

Jason E. Yates, 40, of Englewood, Colorado, was indicted on a charge of possession of drugs (meth).

Robert W. Stevens, 31, of Ridgeway Street, Coal Grove, was indicted on charges of tampering with evidence and possession of drugs.

Frank G. Lewis, 36, of Kemp Avenue, Ironton, was indicted on charges of tampering with evidence and theft.

Wanda L. Jenkins, 55, of Center Street, Ironton, was indicted on charges of tampering with evidence and misdemeanor charges of possession of drugs and resisting arrest.

Chad A. Lloyd, 24, of Charleston, was indicted on two counts of theft of a motor vehicle and two counts of criminal simulation.

Frederick D. Martin, 35, of County Road 1, South Point, was indicted on two counts of trafficking in heroin.

Christopher L. Dishman, 49, of Liberty Avenue, Ironton, was indicted on charges of improper handling of firearms in a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Gary McComas, 22, of Harvey Road, Huntington, was indicted on a charge of improper handling of firearms in a motor vehicle.

Ryan K. Edwa rds, 43, of Township Road 1090, Proctorville, was indicted on a charge of theft of a motor vehicle.

Ginger Riffe, 45, of Robinson Avenue, Portsmouth, was indicted on a charge of receiving stolen property.

Marlon D. McGhee, 31, of Columbus, was indicted on charges of trafficking in drugs (oxycodone) and possession of drugs (oxycodone).

Danny Spurlock, 25, of Amber Lane, Catlettsburg, Kentucky, was indicted on two counts of possession of heroin.

Joselyn Rose, 28, of Grayson, Kentucky, was indicted on charges of possession of heroin and possession of drugs (meth).

Jeremy D. Boll, 37, of Township Road 332, Ironton, was indicted on charges of possession of drugs (meth) and misdemeanor charges of possession of drug abuse instruments and kindled fires.

Austin T. Pemberton, 19, of McGovney Street, Ironton, was indicted on a charge of possession of drugs (meth).

Brian A. Carmon, 34, of Remy Street, Coal Grove, was indicted on a charge of possession of drugs.

Ellen D. Yoder, 30, of Darnell Road, Huntington, was indicted on a charge of possession of drugs (meth).

William A. Howell, 42, of the 2000 block of South 7th Street, Ironton, was indicted on a charge of possession of drugs (meth).

Lansen S. Waugh, 38, of Columbus, was indicted on charges of trafficking in drugs and possession of drugs (Tramadol). The indictment also seeks forfeiture of $2,490 in cash.

Kendrick Jones, 38, of the 500 block of South 10th Street, Ironton, was indicted on two counts of possession of drugs (meth and heroin).

Sasha L. Adkins, 24, of the 800 block of South 9th Street, Ironton, was indicted on a charge of possession of heroin.

Mark Anthony Saxton, 45, of Winchester, Ohio, was indicted on a charge of possession of drugs (fentanyl).

Misty Robinson, 43, of the 2200 block of North 5th Street, Ironton, was indicted on charges of possession of drugs and possessing drug abuse instruments.

Larry V. Fox, 62, of Township Road 1426, South Point, was indicted on a charge of possession of heroin.

Cassidy Begoet, 22, of Pollard Road, Ashland, was indicted on charges of possession of heroin and possession of drugs (meth).

Eric M. Maddix, 31, of Ike Pat-ton Drive, Ashland, was indicted on charges of possession of heroin and possession of drugs (meth).

Zachary Dunn, 26, of Township Road 124, Chesapeake, was indicted on a charge of possession of heroin.

James B. Barton, 46, of Etna Street, Russell, Kentucky, was indicted on charges of possession of heroin and possession of drugs (meth).

Joshua B. Kelley, 32, of Center Street, Coal Grove, was indicted on a felony theft charge.

George A. Tredway, 43, of County Road 123, Chesapeake, was indicted on a felony theft charge.

Nancy A. Walker, 37, of Ellen Drive, Flatwoods, Kentucky, was indicted on a felony theft charge.

An indictment is a formal charge made against a person by a grand jury. It does not establish guilt or innocence.
