Scotland’s Hogg banned for 3 weeks
LONDON (AP) — Scotland fullback Stuart Hogg has been suspended for three weeks for his high and late tackle on Wales flyhalf Dan Biggar in the Six Nations.
A tournament disciplinary committee made the ruling after a hearing on Wednesday.
Hogg was sent off for the offence midway through the first half, a big reason for Scotland’s 51-3 loss in Cardiff on Saturday.
The committee decided the tackle was worthy of a five-week suspension, but took two weeks off because of Hogg’s remorse on the day. The Glasgow back was suspended through April 6.
