BOSTON (AP) — A state representative says a plan to build a casino in eastern Massachusetts is sketchy and raises questions even before hearings are scheduled.

The Boston Globe reports ( ) that Rep. Carolyn Dykema, a Holliston Democrat, criticized the plan advanced by developer David Nunes and Connecticut's Foxwoods Resorts Casino.

She says plans seemed a bit sketchy before and seem even more so now.

Nunes says he intends to meet with residents of Milford and surrounding towns to lay out project details. He says discussions are taking shape and that it's irresponsible to assume he and Foxwoods are not responsive.

Dykema says Holliston, which borders the proposed casino, and nearby Hopkinton would have limited involvement in the review.

Milford, as host community, would have a binding vote.
