Montana Grizzlies’ spring tour to make Billings stop

Administrators and coaches from the University of Montana athletic department will make a stop in Billings on Thursday as part of the Grizzlies’ annual spring tour across the state.

The Billings chapter of the Grizzly Scholarship Association will host a barbecue and social at the Red Lion Hotel and Convention Center with appearances from football coach Bob Stitt, men’s basketball coach Travis DeCuire, and women’s basketball coach Shannon Schweyen, as well as soccer coach Mark Plakorus, volleyball coach Allison Lawrence, golf coach Matt Higgins and softball coach Jamie Pinkerton.

Athletic director Kent Haslam, GSA director Greg Sundberg, development director Dan Ingram, radio voice Riley Corcoran and Griz mascot Monte will also be in attendance.

Doors open at 5 p.m. for a social hour, with dinner starting at 6 p.m., followed by presentations from the coaches at 6:45. Cost is $25 per family, $10 per adult and $5 per child.
