SPRING GREEN — A 5-year-old boy suffered serious injuries and was flown to a Madison hospital Sunday after he was ejected in a two-car crash.

Three others involved also suffered injuries and were taken by ambulance to Madison, according to a news release from Sauk County Sheriff Chip Meister.

The release said a 2010 Ford Fusion driven by Asher Shreeran, 37, of Lone Rock, did not yield the right of way to a 2003 Ford Taurus driven by Hannah Brown, 23, of Lone Rock, at the intersection of Peck Road and County Highway JJ in the town of Spring Green.

The vehicles collided at the intersection and came to rest in a nearby ditch, according to the release. First responders were called to the scene around 11:10 a.m.

Meister said a 5-year-old boy was ejected from the Fusion driven by Shreeran and suffered serious injury. A medical helicopter transported him to the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, Meister said.

An ambulance took Shreeran, Brown and a second occupant of the Fusion, a 9-year-old boy, to the same hospital with minor injuries.

“Shreeran will be issued traffic citations to include failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign, operating a motor vehicle without insurance and operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration,” Meister said in the release.
