SAN ANTONIO (AP) _ Stan Gelbaugh passed for three touchdowns and Jeff Alexander ran for two as the London Monarchs beat the San Antonio Riders 38-15 Monday night to remain unbeaten in the WLAF.
Gelbaugh rallied from two first-quarter interceptions to complete 18 of 26 passes, including 12 in a row at one point, for 156 yards.
London (7-0) is atop the European Division, and San Antonio (3-4) is tied with Birmingham for the North American West Division lead.
The Riders scored on Ricky Blake’s 13-yard run with 2:56 left in the first quarter. On the ensuing kickoff, Riders defenders Roderick Manning and Anthony Cooney tackled London kick returner J.J. Flannigan in the end zone for a safety.
Alexander started London’s comeback with his touchdown runs, both from 9 yards, in the second quarter.
