Police: 2 teens are dead after a vehicle wreck in Tennessee
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) — Police say two teenagers involved in a vehicle wreck in Tennessee have died.
The Daily News Journal reports 18-year-old Eric King and an unnamed 17-year-old passenger died after the vehicle crash.
Murfreesboro police said in a Monday news release that officers responded to a two-vehicle crash near Blackman Elementary School around 6 p.m. Saturday.
Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services found the occupants of a 2005 GMC Sierra had been ejected from the car. King was driving the Sierra. He and the 17-year-old passenger both died. Police say neither teenager was wearing their seat belts, which was a factor in their deaths.
The release says the occupants of the 2018 Nissan Titan pickup truck that was involved in the wreck had minor injuries. The crash is still being investigated.
