Mustangs turn back Kansas Wesleyan

SALINA, Kan. | Sydney Hupp scored 17 points as the fourth-ranked Morningside women’s basketball team defeated Kansas Wesleyan 74-67 in a nonconference game at Mabee Arena here Tuesday.

Audra Corbit scored 14 points for Morningside (2-0), Lexi Ackerman had 13 and Madison Braun finished with 10.

Jenna Farris scored 17 points for Kansas Wesleyan (0-2). Maddie Miller had 11 points and Gabbie Miller added 10.

The Mustangs dished out 14 assists and committed 13 turnovers while Kansas Wesleyan had just seven assists and committed 19 turnovers.
