Longmont Councilman Tim Waters to Hold Saturday Meeting
Councilman Tim Waters is inviting residents of his Ward 1 City Council district — which includes the northeast and far east sides of Longmont — to share their questions and concerns with him during a Saturday morning meeting.
Waters said other interested Longmont residents who do not live in Ward 1 can attend the 11 a.m. meeting at the Lashley Street Station, 1200 Lashley St.
Before Waters’ meeting, there will be a public comment session about the Oligarchy Ditch Primary Greenway Trail project at 10 at the Lashley Street Station.
City staff is to be available to provide an overview and answer questions about that project.
Senior project manager Steve Ransweiler said, “The city has been working with a consultant on the conceptual design of a trail along the Oligarchy Ditch corridor between Main Street and Mountain View Avenue in northeast Longmont. At this point, we feel we are ready to move forward with design of trail between Main Street and 17th Avenue.”
City officials have said design of the section of the Oligarchy Trail segment between Main Street and 17th Avenue is to be completed this year, with construction likely to start soon after.
