Museum offers free walking tours this fall
The Kittitas County Historical Museum is hosting guided walking tours of local “haunted” legends this fall, according to a news release.
The free tours started earlier this month and are offered weekly through October. They start at 6 p.m. each Tuesday at the museum, 114 E. Third Ave., in downtown Ellensburg.
During the event, tour guides discuss true stories of crime and mayhem from firsthand accounts and local lore and legend.
This street-based tour will visit many locations in downtown. Reservations are required and space is limited to 25 people per tour. Tours run an average of 60-90 minutes through downtown Ellensburg, and comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Private tours are available as well.
The tours join other available walking tours such as local history, public art, and architectural history. More information and registration can be found online at KCHM.org/tours.
