SkillsUSA conducts food drive in area
SkillsUSA members at Watertown High School recently conducted a food drive in conjunction with a statewide community service project through Wisconsin SkillsUSA, earning recognition onstage at a conference for their efforts.
SkillsUSA Watertown solicited local industry partners to participate in a “Battle of the Businesses” food drive, with donations being collected and submitted as one large donation. A number of companies and employees participated, including CNC Solutions, Chapter 2, Kusel Equipment, K&S Manufacturing, Spuncast, EK Machine and SEEK Careers.
SkillsUSA Watertown has presented a cake to K&S Manufacturing for raising the most items during the drive. In total, 1,500 food items were collected, with K&S raising over 500 items alone. Items collected were donated to Support the Troops in Hartford and will be sent to troops around the world.
