Ridgefield native appears on “The Voice”
RIDGFIELD — Former resident Drew Arcoleo, who goes by stage name Drew Cole, appeared on NBC’s “The Voice” last week, earning himself a spot on the show after an audition for the singing competition’s four celebrity coaches.
Arcoleo, 25, got coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton to turn their chairs during his “blind audition” of “Sex and Candy” by Marcy Playground. After compliments from both coaches, Arcoleo decided to join Team Adam.
“I see you as not potentially just the winner, but way, far beyond this competition,” Levine told Arcoleo, who lives in Los Angeles.
Arcoleo will move on to the “Battle Rounds” of the show, where he will compete against another Team Adam member to stay on the show. “The Voice” airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m.
