4 Teens Charged in String of Longmont Commercial Burglaries Last December
Four teenagers have been charged in a string of Longmont burglaries that occurred in December , including one in which an employee was held at gunpoint, according to police.
Cmdr. Joel Post in a news release said that the only adult in the group is Gabriel Duran, 18, of Denver. The others also are from Denver and are ages 16 and 17.
Post said they each were charged in January with seven felonies and one misdemeanor while they were incarcerated on other charges from the metro area.
The four commercial burglaries occurred between 2:04 and 2:40 a.m. on Dec. 27 — two in the 2300 block of Clover Basin Drive, one in the 1200 block of Main Street and another in the 00 block of South Sunset Street.
During one of the burglaries, an employee of a business was forced at gunpoint to open a safe, police said. In at least one of the burglaries, surveillance photos showed five men getting out of a SUV.
The suspects stole cash, money drawers, BB rifles and other property from the four sites.
