Alliance woman displaced from home after Sunday fire
ALLIANCE - An Alliance woman was displaced after her home was damaged in a fire Sunday.
The Hemingford Fire Department was the first to respond to the house fire north of Alliance at 5911 Jefferson Road at about 2:20 p.m. Hemingford Fire Chief Shad Bryner said a preliminary investigation indicates that the source of the fire can be traced back to an outside ashtray, according to Panhandle Post.
The Alliance Volunteer Fire Department, Box Butte County Sheriff’s Department, Panhandle Rural Electric Membership Association (PREMA), and the a deputy State Fire marshal.
The Firefighter Ministry is assisting the woman, who is staying with family.
