Police notebook for March 26, 2019

Between 8:42 a.m. on March 22 and 7:59 a.m. on March 25, police responded to 94 calls, including the following:

West Cook Street: Police at 8:42 a.m. on March 22 cited Amy J. Merino, 39, of Portage for a second offense of operating after suspension and not having proof of insurance.

East Wisconsin Street: Police at 2:02 p.m. on March 22 responded to a report of theft of a motor vehicle. A caller reported an unlocked gray Nissan Xterra was parked on the north side of Pizza Hut with the keys inside the vehicle. The vehicle had a topper, with a stereo system, hand tools and cash stored inside.

Henry Drive: Police at 2:56 p.m. on March 22 cited Adam D. Zimmerman, 21, of Portage, for disorderly conduct.

West Franklin Street: Police at 3:56 p.m. on March 22 responded to a report of theft. A caller reported a Keller Williams Realty sign valued between $150 and $200 was taken from a front yard.

Red Fox Run: Police at 8:22 p.m. on March 23 arrested a 30-year-old Portage man for domestic disorderly conduct and issued a 72-hour no contact order.

Red Fox Run: Police at 10:08 p.m. on March 23 cited Portage residents Matthew A. Thomas, 30, and Kevin L. Royal, 28, for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

West Wisconsin Street: Police at 7:55 a.m. on March 23 cited Robert R. Monthey, 34, of Portage, for a second offense of operating after suspension.

New Pinery Road: Police at 11:53 a.m. on March 23 cited James E. Malone, 36, of Milwaukee, for a operating after revocation. He was also arrested on four counts of bail jumping and failure to install an ignition interlock device.

West Conant Street: Police at 4:02 p.m. on March 23 arrested Damian B. Brock, 29, of Portage, on a warrant and for obstruction of justice after police say Brock misidentified himself as his brother. Police say Brock eventually admitted he gave a false identity and had a child support warrant.

Morning Star Drive: Police at 4:13 p.m. on March 23 arrested a 21-year-old Portage man for domestic disorderly conduct and violation of probation/parole.

West Franklin Street: Police at 10:11 a.m. on March 24 cited Tauri E. Greenburg, 20, for a fifth offense of operating after revocation and not having valid proof of insurance.

Dorn Drive: Police at 1:14 p.m. on March 24 responded to a complaint of property damage. A caller reported that sometime on March 21, someone had turned off the breaker to their hot tub and broke a pipe used to drain water from the pool. A suspect was not immediately identified.

West Pleasant Street: At 1:42 p.m. on March 24, Carlos Y. Gonzalez, 25, of Lake Delton came to the Portage Police Department after he heard police were looking for him on a warrant. He was transported to Columbia County Jail without incident.

Airport Road: Police at 6:33 p.m. on March 24 arrested a 36-year-old Portage man for domestic disorderly conduct.
